Why are word problems treated with wary respect? Here I would like to offer a few word problems with suggestions on how to make them interesting. Teachers, please do not hurry to say: “My students cannot do this.”
Parents, please do not say “This is not for me – I am not a math person.” Would you please play with me? Pretty please.
